Love in the Time of Valentines!
Oh February is my adored favourite month of the year! There’s Valentine’s for a start, which is all about chocolate and presents for moi.
If I happen to have a lover at the time, then I may let them take me out for a romantic and expensive meal of my choice, otherwise to a show at the theatre. One of my most romantic fantasies is from Pretty Woman when Richard Gere whisks Julia Roberts off on their own private plane to the opera, red carpet and all, viewing box, cocktail dress from Rodeo Drive, hired diamonds glinting away from every bare millimetre of skin… that would be a Valentine’s treat to remember!
If you don’t happen to have a spare lover to hand by St Valentine’s, then I suggest treating yourself to this hidden jewel of a heart-shaped cushion in magenta satin and applique, or a pair of handmade mohair socks from Lowie - divine dharling!
I think I’ll start dropping hints to Rupert now about red carpets and diamonds, although secretly I’d be happy with a dozen red roses and his speciality seafood paella followed by a cocktail or two…he’s a devil in the kitchen you know…but don’t tell him!
