Oh February is my adored favourite month of the year! There’s Valentine’s for a start, which is all about chocolate and presents for moi.

If I happen to have a lover at the time, then I may let them take me out for a romantic and expensive meal of my choice, otherwise to a show at the theatre. One of my most romantic fantasies is from Pretty Womanwhen Richard Gere whisks Julia Roberts off on their own private plane to the opera, red carpet and all, viewing box, cocktail dress from Rodeo Drive, hired diamonds glinting away from every bare millimetre of skin… that would be a Valentine’s treat to remember!

If you don’t happen to have a spare lover to hand by St Valentine’s, then I suggest treating yourself to this hidden jewel of a heart-shaped cushion in magenta satin and applique, or these handmade mohair socks from Chantilly Lace Boutique - divine dharling!

I think I’ll start dropping hints to Rupert now about red carpets and diamonds, although secretly I’d be happy with a dozen red roses and his speciality seafood paella followed by a cocktail or two…he’s a devil in the kitchen you know…but don’t tell him!

I know all my adoring fans have been sticky behind the knee-caps in anticipation of my behind-the-scenes party revelations. Well here I am (looking hot to trot for January I might add) and wearing a stunning hair fascinator of animal print velvet-ribbon and frothy netting…the delights of hair decoration I believe go way beyond the thrill of the purchase. Its about feeling special, every day, non?

For now though, I must haste back to my delicious goose-down laden boudoir and get my weary head horizontal. I’ve only just come out of temporary hibernation following the busiest season in an IT girls’ calendar - festive frivolities galore.
