A new concept for Kelso - Joanne Ayling - opened its doors last week showcasing pre-owned designer-wear alongside brand new fashion accessories for the discerning diva in town. No two visits will be the same as vintage and retro styles mix with the pizzazz of the new to create one-off outfits for the festive season, and beyond. If you live near-by, make sure you pay a visit before committing yourself to an outfit from anywhere else!

The elves at Cotton Candy Corsage HQ have been busy these last months, while the rain has been battering the mean streets of Glasgow!
There are lots of new shapes and vintage, ‘upcycled‘ creations to get you in the autumn mood, and keep up with the mutation of the floral corsage as it makes the transition to the new season.
Look out for funky, wear-with-everything ‘button belles’ mounted on glitzy cards and mixing tartans. tweeds, beads, buttons and prints.
The more elaborate belles can take centre-stage on a new a/w Mac or trench, or simply to pin your printed silk-scarf in place, a la Gok’s Fashion Fix! Enjoy and look out for the designs hitting the website mid-September 2008…

Dharlings, don’t they look the business wearing this sumptuous oh-my-god-I-could-eat-it wrist corsage? A delightedly satisfied customer (Chloe, Stewarton) loved her bespoke commission so much, she spent half her holiday photographing it fashion-spread-stylee in the glorious Greek island of Kephalonia. Hello, hello! 
I know all my adoring fans have been sticky behind the knee-caps in anticipation of my behind-the-scenes party revelations. Well here I am (looking hot to trot for January I might add) and wearing a stunning hair fascinator of animal print velvet-ribbon and frothy netting…the delights of hair decoration I believe go way beyond the thrill of the purchase. Its about feeling special, every day, non?
For now though, I must haste back to my delicious goose-down laden boudoir and get my weary head horizontal. I’ve only just come out of temporary hibernation following the busiest season in an IT girls’ calendar - festive frivolities galore.
