Organised by event company Synergy Event Solutions Ltd, the 2008 Touch of Tartan Ball took place on 22nd November, and raised over 36,000 for the St Andrews Trust!
Cotton Candy Corsage donated a Lochcarron of Scotland tartan corsage ‘fan’ brooch, which was raffled off as part of a mixed shopping prize, raising £1,200 on the night.

Loving the accessories in Topshop at the moment, particularly this tartan necklace (recently featured in Glamour magazine)…which is pretty similar to my own necklaces.
Thought I would promote it, mainly because it is very nice, but also because everything is about choice. Do you choose to buy the mass produced, throwaway variety worn by every student this side of Brick Lane, OR, be a little more discerning with your accessory choices and choose something that is literally a few pounds more expensive, but lovingly handmade in Scotland?

The elves at Cotton Candy Corsage HQ have been busy these last months, while the rain has been battering the mean streets of Glasgow!
There are lots of new shapes and vintage, ‘upcycled‘ creations to get you in the autumn mood, and keep up with the mutation of the floral corsage as it makes the transition to the new season.
Look out for funky, wear-with-everything ‘button belles’ mounted on glitzy cards and mixing tartans. tweeds, beads, buttons and prints.
The more elaborate belles can take centre-stage on a new a/w Mac or trench, or simply to pin your printed silk-scarf in place, a la Gok’s Fashion Fix! Enjoy and look out for the designs hitting the website mid-September 2008…
